Miscellaneous Springs In Missouri
Listed below are springs I've visited that large and/or interesting.
Morgan Spring - Around 21 million gallons of water a day. Located at The Narrows on the Eleven Point River.
Turner's Mill Spring - 1.5 million gallons of water a day. Large cascade that flows below 25ft. tall metal waterwheel. The mill used to be four floors tall and was the centerpiece of the now defunct Surprise Missouri.
Stone Mill Spring - 18 million gallons of water a day, enough to fill 27 olympic sized swimming pools in a day. It flows into the Big Piney River.
Blue Spring (North Fork River) - 7 million gallons of water a day. The spring is located right on the North Fork of the White River.
Reeds Spring - Around 6.5 million gallons of water a day. The original mill built at this site was built in 1881. It was taken apart in 1939 and sent to the World's Fair in San Francisco and is now sitting in storage at the Smithsonian. The current replica mill was built in 1939.
Lane Spring - around 7.2 million gallons of water a day. The spring branch more closely resembles a gaining stream. It is located at Lane Spring Recreation Area and flows into Little Piney Creek.
Sequiota Park Spring - About 4.5 million gallons of water a day. It's a popular cave spring located in Springfield. There are two other caves located nearby. Greene County sometimes does boat tours of the caves.

Falling Spring - Around 500,000 gallons of water a day. Waterfall spring with mill built next to it.

Markham Spring - 5 million gallons of water a day. A mill built in the 1900's and a house built in the 1930's can stilll be seen around the spring pond (which dates back to the 1800's).
Althea Spring - 12 million gallons of water a day. The sign says it is the 23rd largest spring in Missouri but that is very incorrect. It is likely the top 30 largest in the state.
Blue Hole Spring - About 5 million gallons of water a day. Not much is known about this one. It is a deep blue hole and it flows into the Eleven Point River. It is extremely remote and difficult to find.
Barclay Spring - Around 8.6 million gallons of water a day. Located in Barclay Conservation Area and flows into the Niangua River.
Hoppe Spring - About 1.6 million gallons of water a day. Located within the Steelville city limits in Hoppe Spring Park.
