Bell Mountain & Lindsey Mountain

Bell Mountain Wilderness encompasses 9,143 acres of both Bell Mountain and Lindsey Mountain. It is one of the most popular backpacking locations in the state of Missouri. Trails: Bell Mountain has one loop trail with multiple trailheads that can make hikes longer or shorter depending on which trailhead you start at. The whole Bell Mountain loop trail is around 10-11 miles. The Ozark Trail also runs through the wilderness area as well. Lindsey Mountain trail is a 4.1 mile out and back trail. Shut-In Creek Shut-In: Shut-In Creek is located between Bell Mountain and Lindsey Mountain. To reach it I recommend bushwhacking down from the Lindsey Mountain trail, as the Bell Mountain side has about a 700ft elevation loss in under 1/4 a mile.
