Taum Sauk Mountain State Park

Taum Sauk Mountain State Park is located at the highest point in Missouri: Taum Sauk Mountain (1,772ft).The state park also features the tallest waterfall in Missouri, Mina Sauk Falls (132ft). Trail Systems: Mina Sauk falls trail - 2.9 mile loop that circles around Taum Sauk Mountain providing views of the valley below and Mina Sauk Falls. Ozark Trail Taum Sauk Section - The Taum Sauk section of the Ozark Trail is approximately 35 miles long and winds through the St. Francois Mountains. Camping and Recreation: The state park has 12 walk-in campsites and has running water from April 1 - October 31. Other Info: Nearby is the Taum Sauk firetower that is available for the public to climb. The Devil's Tollgate is an interesting passage way along the Ozark Trail through the park located a little ways from the bottom of Mina Sauk Falls State Park Website
