#2. Greer Spring
Greer Spring is the second largest spring in the Ozark region and one of the top 10 largest springs in the United States at an outflow of around 232 million gallons of water a day. It flows into the Eleven Point River and has two outlets within 250ft. of each other, one is a cave spring and the other is a large boil. The spring branch flows on it's own for over a mile before reaching the river. The spring is located deep within a hollow and is surrounded by steep hillsides. A mill located at the top of the ridge utilized the power of this karst location by using pulleys to bring energy up the steep hillsides. The mill can still be visited today and has been recently restored.
