Current River
The Current River is easily one of the prettiest rivers in the Ozarks. The river is fed by world-class springs that keep the water crystal clear with a blue tint. The river starts at Montauk Spring at Montauk State Parks before meandering through the deep valleys filled with large bluffs, huge caves, first and second magnitude springs, etc. before reaching the Black River 184 miles later. The river is apart of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, the first federally protected river system. This river should be a bucket list float. The most popular float is Pulltite Spring to Round Spring which is about 9 miles and takes anywhere from 4-6 hours depending on how fast you paddle.
