Busiek State Forest
Busiek State Forest is located off of Highway 65 between Branson and Springfield. Camp Creek and Woods Fork run through the area.
Trails:
Red Trail - 3 miles, Red Trail Shortcut - 0.5 miles, White Trail - 4.5 miles, Orange Trail - 2.2 miles, Yellow Trail - 4 miles, Yellow Trail Shortcut - 0.33 miles, Silver Trail, 2.25 miles, Purple Trail - 3.8 miles. Maps are usually provided at trailhead, unless they haven't been restocked. Make sure you come prepared with a map.
Recreation:
Camping is only allowed with a permit. An unstaffed shooting range is located on the western side of Highway 65.

The original portion of the land was purchased in 1981 and more was purchased later on to bring the total acreage to 2,700 acres. The forest stretches beyond both sides of Highway 65 and offers crystal clear Ozark streams.
