Black Mountain Falls Shut-In
This shut-in is often just referred to as 'Black Mountain Falls'. Cascading down over 400ft. before meeting the St. Francis River, this shut-in can be easily reached and viewed from the roadway that runs perpendicular to it. To view the most scenic portions of the shut-in, visitors must climb over the large boulders that have been eroded away from the mountainside. The best time to visit is after a large rainfall, as the creek does not flow year round.
